Does racism exist in USA?
Is the equaltty of opportunities real in America?
Probably there's not a simple answer to this questions, but what I can assure is that integration of inmigrant people onto american society would have to make us think about our prejudices to America.
New York is, in this way, the best example of respect and tolerance. Million diferent persons living together, sharing their lives in a wonderful city, feeling proud of what they are. NY represents what must be a multicultural society.
VISIT: Lower East Side (Down Manhattan)_______LoisaidaAv is the main street, and represent the way that Hispanos have to pronounce Lower East Side. (Lo is said).

Good start!
Lovely view of Manhattan from Brooklyn! How I miss that!
I can tell you, unfortunately, that racism exists in the USA! but there are many people who fight against it too and their programmes are more thoughtful and solid than most of the solutions people are trying to apply in our country. I think we have a lot to learn from them. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay and you'll find your learning useful and beneficial. I hope to hear from you then!

I've never been in NY, but I guess it has to be an incredible city. On the other hand, I can't imagine a big city in USA without any racism or social problems, in higher or lower degree.
Yea...
I swear there is.
I was victim of racism, once.
